capribornioI've been writing some little things in the 3 Sentence Ficathon, so I decided to publish them here too to have them all together in one place.
Prompt: Mythology, Sirens, "They didn't disappear when we conquered the sea"
"Of course they're gone", that's what they say. "Of course they're gone, have you seen one?"
"But what about the disappearances?" "Simply accidents." "What about those far away places where nobody goes?" "There's strong currents." "And what the music that you hear sometimes, high at the sea, the nights without moon?" "It's like you haven't heard about hallucinations"
So if you see a woman, swimming alone, where it wouldn't make sense for a woman to swim alone, then go to her. She's probably lost, only survivor of a shipwreck that you can't see. Go to her. She needs your help.

Again, and again, and again. More potential friends. More mistakes. More deaths. And again.
When will this stop? Who is behind this? They don't know. They can't stop it.

"Well, you know what they say. Slow and steady wins the race" Ladybug smiled at him.
"Did you get that from a fortune cookie?" He looked puzzled. "Doesn't mean is not true." She answered.
Caparace looked at Chat confused. "Is she like that this all the time?" "You get used to it."

"Again, I'm so sorry! I have to help my parents finish an order, and I forgot I promised Ayla that I would go shopping with her, and-and-"
"It's okay, seriously." He smiled through the phone. "I get it. My dad changes my schedule all the time. Don't worry."
"...Thanks" she smiled, a little relieved. "Well. See you at school, then" They hung up. She looked through her window, looking at the disaster the akuma was already causing. If something Marinette was grateful for, is that he would never know how it was to feel the weight of the world in his shoulders.
