I was thinking about using Pillowfort too, but if more weirdness happened...well. I'm curious! What's the latest Pillowfort Drama?

Oh man, it's a mess. To try to resume, a person got banned, they contacted the staff about it since, while they posted drawings of underage sex, this wasn't banned; PillowFort answer was basically "well it's banned Now". They offered to restore their blog anyway, and then... the activated a gotdamn empty blog with the URL. Yeah. Then, PW made an official statement, saying that while they where banning drawings, it was only if the person in the drawing was "obviously prepubescent". Which, given how cartoons and especially anime look, makes no fucking sense. Not to mention that people can be and look young, or be young but look old, etc. Anyway, with this the staff proved themselves to be unreliable in the most basic form of communication, transparency, or simply the fact that they have promised to be "all inclusive" and they are most certainly not.

ooooooooooooh boy. that is...100% what I was afraid of. I mean, this is worse than I expected given that it was staff responsible, but...yeah. Fucking yikes.

When Pillowfort first came out I was sorta leery when I read their ToS at the time, and then watching the culture develop...I backed off pretty quick. Kept my account as a safety in case of a Tumblr Disaster, but now...mmmm, yeah, I'll use Dreamwidth.

I have seen that. When I was originally looking into Pillowfort. I decided against it, and now I am glad that I did.

Yeah, you got lucky. I didn't register for poverty reasons, but I thought about it when I got some money. And before I could do anything, this mess exploded. Bullet dodged.
